Service Project with SOME PDF Print E-mail
volunteer_foodservice1SOME (So Others Might Eat) is an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless of our nation's capital. It meets the immediate daily needs of the people it serves with food, clothing, and health care. SOME helps break the cycle of homelessness by offering services, such as affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling, to the poor, the elderly and individuals with mental illness. Each day, SOME is restoring hope and dignity one person at a time. We invite you to join us.  President Obama and his family volunteered there earlier this month.  Now our young people at St. Camillus have the same opportunity to serve  on three seperate dates 2/13, 3/6, and 3/13.  All dates are Saturdays from 10-2.  Number limited to 15.  For more information contact Gloria Canales.  For more youth events and opportunites
