JustMatters uses modules of six to eight weekly sessions to allow participants in a small group to focus on a particular current social justice topic and then respond to a call to engaged action.  Each module is developed by JustFaith Ministries (www.justfaith.org) and uses a general format or prayer, readings, videos, speakers and dialogue.   In Fall 2008, 18 people participated in an 8 week module “Global Climate Change: Impact and the Faith Response” that included a visit to the local congressional delegation to lobby on the issue. 

In Fall 2009, we plan to do an 8 week module “Crossing Borders: Migration, Theology and the Human Journey”.  Other possible modules for the future are: “Living Solidarity: Government, the Federal Budget and the Common Good” and “Prison Reform: the Church of the Second Chance”.
