Parish Council Bios
Noé Granados is originally from El Salvador. He and his wife and newborn son live in Silver Spring, where he is an electrician in the surrounding area. Noé has been a parishioner at St. Camillus for 11 years, and has served in various ministries including the young adult group Cristo Joven, the Hispanic Committee (Comite Hispano), the Spanish Chorus, and Eucharistic Ministry. Noé also served as Franciscan Volunteer Minister for one year at the St. Francis Inn in Philadelphia, PA, alongside great people with big hearts. Now, Noé says he looks forward to "being able to impart God’s love and light through my service on the Parish Council."
Jim Peachey (Council Chairman) lives in Silver Spring and works at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt. Jim's family made St. Camillus their home parish in 2004. Since then he has participated in Servant Leadership, St. Francis Builds, English Pre-Cana, Children's Liturgy, Teams of Our Lady, and the Music and Fair Trade Ministries. Jim says he loves St. Camillus because it is "so filled with life, love, and the Holy Spirit."
Cassie Kralovec (Council Secretary) has been a parish member since 2009. She resides in Washington D.C. with her husband, Jamie, and works as a registered nurse at Washington Hospital Center. She is interested in the intersection of health and faith, having studied theology & nursing. She is a lector at St. Camillus and serves on the Stewardship Committee.
Ed Kelly lives in Kensington with his wife Connie. He joined St Camillus 6 years ago. He is a federal government retiree and a past lobbyist. His parish involvements include working with Montgomery County Habitat and traveling with the St. Camillus team to Honduras and Guatemala. He is a Eucharistic Minister and serves on the Stewardship Committee. He also drives for the Food Pantry.
Jim Cullen, along with his wife and two children, joined the parish in 1971, when he and his family moved to the area to be close to the Naval Ordnance Laboratory where he was employed. Jim joined the choir in the mid-seventies, later becoming a member of the “Traditional" choir when several singing groups were formed. At present, Jim still sings with the 9am choir. He also participates in the Fair Trade committee as well as St. Francis Builds projects both in Montgomery County and in Central America.
Jose A. Garcia has been a member of the parish since 1990. He and his wife Marta and son Jonathan live in Rockville, MD. He owns his own painting company. He is an active Eucharist Minister and participates in the Cursillo movement. He is also a coordinator for the Hospitality Ministry.
Silvio Mbouyo is starting his second year on Parish Council. He has been a member of St. Camillus since Fall 2007 and has been involved in Young Adults, Youth Group, the Magnificat Choir and several other groups of the French Community. Silvio is currently working on the Community Building goals of the Strategic Plan. Silvio wants the parish to know that he "is a friendly person, very accessible and can be reached at any occasion." Silvio is an auditor and a tax accountant by profession.
Theodore Ngatchou has been a member of the parish for the past 10 years. He has served in the Music Ministry (both the French and Multicultural Choirs) and also serves both the Fair Trade Ministry, and Social Concerns Ministry. He is a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a firm advocate in the St. Camillus Servant Leadership Program which he states, "has reshaped my mind. I have learned a way of loving, living, serving and leading that is creative, respectful and empowering...." Theodore has recently started his own business.
Christine Ruppert is beginning her first year with the Parish Council. Christine resides in Columbia Heights, Washington D.C. where she works at a community health clinic, supporting pregnant women, new mothers and their infants. You can usually find Christine at the 10:30 a.m. mass on Sundays, cheering on her sister who sings in the multi-cultural choir. Christine recently participated in the 4.5 Christian Simplicity Lenten program and will be involved in the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation committee of the Council. She is excited to get started in her new role!
Provati Cecilia Rozario is proud to call herself Wife, Mother (of two wonderful girls - Christin and Stephanie), and Registered Nurse. Cecilia has been a parishioner at St. Camillus since 1992 and is involved in many ministries, including Hospitality, the Food Pantry, L'amie Clinique, and Eucharistic Ministry. Cecilia works at the DC Veterans Hospital. Her motto she says is "to treat everyone the way I want to be treated."
Todd Dorrien has been coming to St Camillus for 5 years. Todd is involved in Habitat for Humanity and Religious Education and Catechesis. He can often be found enjoying the doughnuts and coffee after the 10:30 a.m. mass with his kids Mia and Liam and wife Sue Gander. He works in corporate finance at Sunrise Senior Living and resides in Kensington.
Alphonse Mpia has been an active member of the Saint Camillus Church for the last 4 years. Alphonse and his wife Yvette live in North Bethesda, Maryland. Alphonse is in his second year of serving on the Parish Council where he has been involved with the Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation (JPIC), Faith Formation and Prayer and Worship ministries.
Rick Lee has been an active member of St. Camillus Parish since 1996. Rick was born in Washington, DC. He has been married for 24 years and he and his wife have two kids. Rick has worked in retail for twenty six years and is presently employed as a Field Director for a Veterinary Practice in the Philadelphia area. In his spare time, Ricks loves traveling, watching football and grilling.
Clara Rozario has been an active member of St. Camillus since 1997. Clara and her family moved to the US from Bangladesh in 1995. Clara serves as a Eucharistic Minister and as a volunteer with the annual Parish Festival and other community events, representing the St. Camillus Bangladeshi community. Clara has been employed with the U.S. Postal Service since 1998. For the past six years, she has served on the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh-Christian Co-operative Society (credit union) and she is currently a Board Member of the Bangali-American Christian Association. Clara lives in Silver Spring with her husband, three daughters and father-in-law.
Sr. Janet Stolba has been a Religious of Jesus and Mary since 1960. Her parents, Dottie and Frank Stolba, were founding members of St. Camillus Parish. Her two brothers, Edward and Francis, attended St. Camillus School. Sr. Janet is beginning her second year on the parish council and her second year as a chaplain for Teams of Our Lady. She participated in St. Francis Builds in El Salvador in 2008. Currently, Sr. Janet is a member of the leadership team of the USA Province of the Religious of Jesus and Mary, is the director of the RJM Haiti Mission Fund, and director of vocation promotion for the RJM.
Martin (“Marty”) Hindel (Council Vice-Chair) is in his first year on the Parish Council where he serves as liaison to the Parish Community Building Committee. Marty lives in Silver Spring, MD and has been a member of the St. Camillus Parish since July 2008. Marty attends the 9 a.m. traditional English mass where he has been active for three years in music ministry and hospitality ministry. During the work week, Marty is an Air Force Judge Advocate (JAG) attorney assigned at Andrews AFB, MD.
