The Catholic Community of Langley Park is a mission of St. Camillus Parish serving our brothers and sisters who live in Langley/Takoma Crossroads area. The community is comprised mainly of recent immigrants from Guatemala and El Salvador. Sunday Mass is celebrated weekly at 10:30 AM in the gymnasium of the McCormick Elementary School on 15th Avenue, between Merrimac Drive and Quebec Street. The mission office, located at 1408 Merrimac Drive, is open Tuesday through Sunday. Among the services offered are: English classes, immigration legal assistance, internet access, computer classes, sewing classes, referrals to social service agencies, a summer camp for young children, etc. Our mission also maintains a full spectrum of spiritual services, including: CCD classes, several choirs, Legion of Mary, Jufra (Franciscan Youth), Esperanza Latina (young adult 18-35 group), Buen Pastor Charismatic Prayer Group, weekday Mass (Thursdays at 7:30 PM), and weekly Bible studies. The mission also runs a Food Pantry that provides free food for families in need. Hundreds are served each month.
